Self-Care in Marriage Dear Beloved, We live in strange and confusing times where the definition of marriage has been redefined, misrepresented, and watered down. We hear of same-sex unions and contractual marriages—all contrary to the original design of God. Yet, we must always remember this truth: marriage is God’s idea. Marriage is sacred, God-ordained, and established as a covenant between man, woman, and God Himself. Like every covenant, marriage faces its own challenges. That is why books have been written about communication, intimacy, parenting, and finances. But one of the greatest lessons we learned during our recent Marriage Enrichment Retreat and Team Building in Juja Farm, is this: if the pressure is too much, talk to the right person. Don’t carry the weight alone. Self-Care is a Necessity Many couples mistakenly see self-care as a luxury—but in truth, self-care is a necessity. Without it, we burn out, lose our joy, and weaken the bond God intended marriage to be. Remember, there are things nobody can do for you. No one can rest for you. No one can exercise for you. And nobody—not even your spouse—can make you truly happy. Happiness is cultivated from within, anchored in God’s Word, and nourished by intentional habits. During our retreat, we explored five forms of self-care in marriage that every couple must practice: Physical Self-Care Take care of your body. Eat well, exercise, rest. Your physical health affects your emotional and spiritual connection. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Social Self-Care Build healthy connections, not just with your spouse but with Kingdom-minded couples who can encourage you. Bad company corrupts good morals (1 Corinthians 15:33). Surround yourself with life-giving relationships. Spiritual Self-Care Prayer, worship, and time in the Word are fuel for your marriage. Remember, the couple that prays together stays together. Joshua 24:15 – “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Emotional Self-Care Learn to process your emotions. Don’t bottle up frustrations until they explode. Instead, communicate with grace, patience, and love. Ephesians 4:26 says, “Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.” Mental Self-Care Practice mindfulness and guard your thoughts. Be intentional about what you feed your mind. Avoid comparisons, unrealistic expectations, or toxic distractions. Romans 12:2 calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Reflection Self-care in marriage is not selfish—it is stewardship. When you take care of yourself, you give your spouse a healthier, stronger, and more joyful partner. As we concluded this incredible weekend of bonding, fun, laughter, and teaching, we were reminded once again that marriage thrives when couples prioritize growth, wellness, and godliness together. The Office of The Holy Spirit By Bishop Peter Ndungu, Overcoming Faith Church (The House of Faith) Beloved in Christ, What a glorious beginning we had on African Celebration Sunday—filled with laughter, joy, testimonies, and a powerful teaching that laid a foundation on one of the most important doctrines every progressive believer must understand: The Office of the Holy Spirit. If there is a teaching I desire for every believer to grasp, it is this—know the Holy Spirit, walk with Him, and yield to His office in your life. Without Him, we can do nothing. With Him, we can do all things. Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is not an “it.” He is a Person—the third person of the Trinity, co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. He was present at creation: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth… and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Then God said…” (Genesis 1:1-3). When God speaks, the Spirit moves. The Holy Spirit is part and parcel of God’s creative and redemptive work. The Six Forms of the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit manifests in diverse ways according to the need of the hour: The Wind – “Then he said to me, ‘Prophesy to the breath… and breath came into them, and they lived.’” (Ezekiel 37:9-10 NIV) The Spirit moves as the wind when the Word is spoken. When you release the Word, the Spirit goes to work. The Fire – “Then the fire of the Lord fell…” (1 Kings 18:38 ) At Pentecost, tongues of fire rested on each believer. This fire consumes everything that is not of God and ignites holy passion. The Oil – “So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him…” (1 Samuel 16:13) The oil represents the anointing. Without the oil of the Spirit in your life, you remain dry. With it, you are transformed into a new man. The Water – “…where the river flows everything will live.” (Ezekiel 47:9) The Spirit flows as living water, bringing life, healing, and multiplication wherever He moves. The Rain – “He will come to us like the rain…” (Hosea 6:3). The rain signifies visitation and refreshing. When God pours His Spirit, barren seasons end. The Flame – “Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up, this was no ordinary fire, it was the Holy spirit.” (Exodus 3:2) The Spirit appears as flames that refine, empower, and consecrate us for God’s service. This Month’s Call In this month of Holy Spirit Empowerment, we shall learn about: The empowerment of the Holy Spirit The baptism of the Holy Spirit Walking in the Spirit The gifts of the Spirit The Holy Spirit as our witness By the end of this series, you shall be filled, refilled, and overflowing in the Holy Spirit. Your prayer life will ascend to another level, and your walk will be marked by the power of God. I urge you: Do not stand at the edge—be filled with the Spirit. Fan into flame the gifts of God in you (2 Timothy 1:6). Be so drunk in the Spirit that you walk into your breakthrough naturally. As we step into September—The Month of Holy Spirit Empowerment—prepare your heart for deeper encounters. May you walk in fire, overflow in living water, and experience the rain of His Spirit upon your life. Physical & Social Wealth By Bishop Peter Ndungu Beloved, Grace and peace be multiplied to you in this Year to Settle. In this issue of the Faith Today Newsletter, I conclude our life-changing series on Wealth Creation. We have already explored Spiritual Wealth and Intellectual Wealth, and now, we close with two vital pillars: Physical Wealth and Social Wealth. I remind you: money is not equal to wealth. Some people have money, yet they lack health, peace of mind, relationships, and godly purpose. True wealth is holistic—it encompasses the spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social dimensions of life. The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 8:9: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.” Christ has already settled our blessing; the question is—how do we activate and steward it? Physical Wealth – Honoring God with Our Bodies Physical wealth refers to the visible part of our lives—our health, bodies, and environment. God desires that we prosper physically, not just spiritually. Our bodies are God’s temple (1 Corinthians 6:19–20) – Jesus paid for our redemption, including our physical bodies. We must treat our bodies with respect and care. Discipline and exercise (1 Timothy 4:8) – Exercise profits, and so does godliness. Both matter. Eating right, resting well, and exercising are acts of worship. Cleanliness is godly (Deuteronomy 23:12–14) – God values hygiene and order. Clean environments lead to clear thinking and healthier lives. Self-control (Proverbs 25:27) – Overeating, drunkenness, and addictions destroy wealth and destiny. Discipline preserves life. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Taking care of it is not just for health’s sake—it is worship unto God. Social Wealth – The Power of Relationships You are as poor or as rich as the people you surround yourself with. Social wealth is about relationships, influence, and networks that align with destiny. Divine connections matter – Joseph rose to power because someone remembered him before Pharaoh (Genesis 41:15). God uses people to lift us – Namaan found healing because a servant girl spoke up (2 Kings 5:1–4). Choose your company wisely – 1 Corinthians 15:33 reminds us: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” Different mindsets – Poor people think only of money, rich people focus on things, but truly wealthy people think about ideas, transformation, and legacy. Social wealth means valuing godly connections, healthy networks, and people who push you toward destiny. Even our Lord Jesus needed His 12 disciples to fulfill His mission. Things That Lead to Poverty Scripture warns us of practices that destroy wealth: Gluttony and drunkenness – Proverbs 23:20–21 Laziness – Proverbs 10:4 Lack of discipline – Proverbs 25:28 Mismanagement – 1 Corinthians 6:12 True wealth creation is rooted in discipline, wisdom, and obedience to God’s principles. Entering September: The Month of Holy Spirit Empowerment As we conclude this series, I declare that God is settling you spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially. Now we enter September—the Month of Holy Spirit Empowerment. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Teacher, and Empowerer. Without Him, we can do nothing, but with Him, we can do all things. Prepare your heart for a deeper encounter this month. Cultivating Intellectual Wealth: Faith Today Newsletter 27

Kingdom Principles for Wealth Creation Bishop Peter Ndungu | Overcoming Faith Church Warm Greetings Beloved in the Lord, Grace and peace to you in Jesus’ name. Through Faith Today TV and this newsletter, I am delighted to continue our series on Wealth Creation and Kingdom Principles in this Year to Settle. This week, I want us to focus on the second dimension of wealth: Cultivating Intellectual Wealth. Money alone is not wealth; true wealth is multi-dimensional, and at its foundation is the wisdom and knowledge God gives. The Gift of the Mind I want you to confess this boldly: “I have the mind of Christ.” (cf. 1 Corinthians 2:16 NKJV). When you became born again, you did not lose your mind. Instead, God sanctified it and gave you the ability to think, reason, innovate, and create. You are a three-part being: spirit, soul, and body. Within your soul lies the mind and emotions—God’s precious gift to help you thrive. Just like a newborn child whose brain is like an empty hard disk in a computer, it is what you feed into your mind that determines your success or failure. Scripture affirms: “As a man thinketh, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). The difference between those who accomplish great things, those who do average things, and those who do nothing is the ability to think wisely. The Power of Intellectual Wealth Beloved, there is a place for prayer, and there is a place for thinking. Even in prayer, you must use the mind God has given you. Prayer brings divine guidance, but thinking helps you to administer what God entrusts to you. King Solomon was not only a spiritual man but also a great thinker. His wisdom was profound, and it attracted rulers and nations. Intellectual wealth is about developing this same ability to think deeply, make sound judgments, and apply wisdom. Remember, many have lost what God gave them because they did not think well. But that will not be your portion in Jesus’ name. Wisdom: The Heart of Intellectual Wealth The Bible declares: “Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding” (Proverbs 3:13). Wisdom generates wealth. If God grants you wisdom, you have the foundation of riches, honor, and lasting prosperity. “Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness.” (Proverbs 8:18) Enduring wealth cannot exist outside of Christ. True intellectual wealth flows when you walk with Him. You cannot walk with God faithfully for years and remain unchanged—He deposits divine wisdom that positions you for success. Tips to Guard Your Mental Wellbeing To cultivate intellectual wealth, you must guard your mental health, because the mind is the seat of wisdom. Here are some principles: ✅ Prioritize Self-Care – Rest your mind through exercise, reflection, and recreation. ✅ Avoid Mental Clutter – Don’t fill your mind with endless politics or distractions (1 Corinthians 10:23). ✅ Control What Controls You – Only God’s Word should govern your thoughts. ✅ Practice Gratitude – A thankful heart reduces stress and sharpens clarity. ✅ Value Relationships – Divine connections in church and family nurture wisdom. ✅ Keep Learning – Read Scripture, develop new skills, and invest in knowledge. ✅ Stay Healthy – Eat well, exercise, hydrate, and sleep adequately. Physical health fuels mental clarity. ✅ Seek Help When Needed – Never ignore stress or emotional burdens. God uses counselors and pastors for healing. Remember: You cannot sustain wealth if your mind is unstable. There are levels of blessing you cannot handle until your intellectual foundation is strong. Final Word Beloved, money is not the way—Jesus is the Way (John 14:6). Do not let blessings draw you away from God. Instead, let wisdom and intellectual wealth bring balance to your life. As we continue in this Year to Settle, may the Lord grant you a sound mind, divine wisdom, and enduring riches. Remain strong. Keep thinking. Keep growing. I love you and I am praying for you. Faith Today Newsletter 26 | Bishop Peter on Money Matters

Money Matters & Financial Management: Kingdom Principles for Wealth Creation – Men of Destiny August Edition 2025 Bishop Peter on Money Matters and Financial Management Grace and peace to you in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. This August, the Men of Destiny fellowship gathered once again at the House of Faith, and what a powerful time it was! I thank God for every man who took time to sit under the Word. As I often say, “It is through the Word of God that we understand everything—even finances.” Money is not something we can ignore, for the Bible says, “Money answers all things” (Ecclesiastes 10:19). And yet, without revelation, money can slip through our fingers. That is why I want to share with you what the Lord laid in my heart concerning money matters and financial management. The Three Levels of Wealth Creation When we think of wealth creation, I see it like building a house—with a foundation, structure, and roof. 1️⃣ Belief – The Foundation Your belief system is everything. What you believe about money shapes your destiny. Money is like a seed: when placed in the right environment, it grows. When hidden or consumed wrongly, it dies.Remember: God gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. Decide which one you will be. 2️⃣ Management – The StructureWhat you don’t manage well cannot grow. God did not allow anything to grow in Eden until there was a man to manage the garden. Miracles may rescue us, but management sustains us. Money doesn’t grow by miracle—it grows by proper stewardship. 3️⃣ The Blessing – The RoofSkills and management alone are not enough. Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22). Four Principles to Grow Your Finances These are the principles I shared with you to help grow what God has placed in your hands: 1️⃣ Stewardship (Psalm 24:1) – We own nothing; we are only managers. Faithfulness is required.2️⃣ Born of God (Psalm 112:1–3) – When you are born of God, you carry His seed in you. Wealth and riches shall be in your house.3️⃣ Be a Gatherer, Not a Scatterer (Proverbs 13:11) – Don’t scatter what God gives you through emotional spending. Be intentional, not impulsive.4️⃣ Diligence (Proverbs 10:4; 12:24; 14:23) – In all labor there is profit. Laziness leads to poverty, but the diligent will rule. The Hierarchy of Need I also taught on the Hierarchy of Need, reminding you that we are all at different levels: Physiological Needs – survival, food, shelter. Safety Needs – security and protection. Belonging – connections, networks, and relationships. Esteem – achievement and recognition. Self-Actualization – fulfillment, impact, and legacy. My prayer is that you will not remain at the lowest level of survival, but by diligence and wisdom, rise until you reach the place of fulfillment and Self Actualization. “Refuse to glorify poverty, for poverty destroys like a city without walls (Proverbs 10:15). Instead, declare daily that riches and wealth will be found in your house.” My Conclusion to the Men Men of Destiny, God’s will is not for you to live in lack, but in abundance. Scripture tells us of Isaac: “The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous” (Genesis 26:13). This is my prayer for you—that every year you will rise to another level, prospering until you become very prosperous. A Word of Encouragement These Men of Destiny quarterly meetings are divine platforms where destinies are sharpened, and men are equipped for Kingdom influence. I urge you never to miss any of them. Each meeting is a building block in your spiritual, financial, and family journey. Faith Today Takeaway:“Money doesn’t grow by miracles; it grows by management, diligence, and the blessing of God. Wealth Creation – Kingdom Principles for Prosperity Greetings beloved, This past Sunday at Overcoming Faith Church, we delved into a timely and life-transforming teaching — Wealth Creation through Kingdom Principles. Many believers still ask, “Does God really want me to prosper?” The truth is: God is not silent about your finances. Our calling is not to argue about prosperity while the world builds wealth, but to understand and align with God’s divine agenda. You were not created for survival — you were created for influence. 🧭 Kingdom Principles of Wealth Creation 1. His Grace Wealth in the Kingdom is anchored in His grace, not greed. God empowers us through the finished work of Christ. 2 Corinthians 8:9 — “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” Declare boldly: “By His poverty, I have become rich.” Jesus exchanged His riches for your lack. Receive that grace with responsibility. 2. His Promotion Promotion doesn’t come from people — it comes from God. Regardless of your background, God can lift you. Psalm 113:7 — “He raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy out of the ash heap.” At Overcoming Faith Church, we refuse to dwell among the poor. Let your company change. Sit with dreamers, visionaries, and givers. God is seating you among princes. 3. His Increase Wealth creation is not overnight success — it’s obedience over time. Genesis 26:13 — “The man began to prosper and continued prospering until he became very prosperous.” Start somewhere. Keep working. Stay faithful. Your income may be small now, but it will not remain there. Declare: I will not stop until I become very prosperous! 4. His Wisdom Money is not enough; you need wisdom to sustain and multiply it. Proverbs 13:11 — “Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, but he who gathers by labor will increase.” Honesty and diligence are critical. Wealth must outlive you. Ask God not just for provision, but for wisdom to multiply and manage it well. 🔥 July – A Month of Miracles This month has been packed with God’s faithfulness—from healing Sundays to prophetic breakthroughs. God is doing a new thing—do not miss what’s ahead. 📢 Testimonies These praise reports flowed from our recent Prayer and Prophetic Service: “I was mad at God, but on July 23rd at 3:00am, He answered my prayer. He was discharged this week completely well.” ~Jane “My younger sister completed exams and got a job even before graduation. 📖 Kingdom Principles on Finances – Part 3 Dear Family, Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. This past Sunday was no ordinary day—it was a vibrant African Celebration Sunday filled with testimonies, joy, and gratitude. Just two days before, we gathered for a powerful dinner to celebrate Faith Today TV’s 2nd Anniversary. We are indeed seeing the hand of God. 💬 God is Not Silent About Your Finances Let me remind you—God is not silent about wealth, riches, and financial settlement. His word is full of guidance on how we are to walk in prosperity with integrity. In this Year of Settlement, I believe He is not just settling us spiritually and in our families, but even in our finances. “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” – 2 Corinthians 8:9 Say this out loud with me: “Through Christ’s poverty, I am rich.” 🧠 Change Your Mindset – Prosperity Starts Inside Child of God, poverty isn’t just about money—it’s a mindset. If all you’ve ever seen is struggle and lack in your family, I encourage you today: declare war on poverty. Say with me, “I hate poverty with all my heart, in Jesus’ name.” “The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous.” – Genesis 26:13 🔥 There are three stages of prosperity: Begin ➡️ Continue ➡️ Become very prosperous. We all start somewhere, but we don’t stop there. That one-room house, that small idea, that side business—it is just the beginning. “Where you are is not where you’ll always be.” 💎 Wealth Is Your Portion In Psalm 113:7, we read how God raises the poor out of the dust. Beloved, your family background may be humble, but your future is not. You will sit with princes. You will own what you once rented. You will lend and not borrow! Start thinking like someone who is wealthy. The best of the land is yours. You deserve to enjoy the good things God has prepared—without guilt, and without apology. You don’t have to stay in a place of ridicule. You deserve the best! 💡 Golden Ideas, Divine Breakthroughs It only takes one idea to change your life. I’m praying for God to release a divine idea that will open financial doors you’ve never imagined. God will raise millionaires in our church; kingdom financiers, those who will carry the burden of the Gospel. “Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.” – Psalm 112:3 Let this be your confession: “Wealth and riches will be in my house.” ⏳ Be Patient – Prosperity Takes Time We live in a fast-paced world but remember this: You must start somewhere. Don’t compare yourself with those who started before you. Your process is unique. Let God complete that which He started in you. Be patient—it’s a fruit of the Spirit. 📣 Final Words of Encouragement I don’t glorify poverty. I glorify a God who prospers His children. So rise up in faith and declare your new season. Continue growing, continue building, and never stop until you become very prosperous. 🙏 Corporate Prayer Rhythm (CPR) Let’s continue to pray for peace and prosperity in Kenya and the body of Christ. Gleanings For The Soul

“When nothing in life makes sense—you can still run to Him and find refuge.” (As copied from the Living Bible App) We live in unpredictable times. The things we value, the people we care about, the lives we lead—all of it feels uncertain and unstable. King David could relate. After years of faithful service to King Saul, the king plotted to murder David. Desperate, David fled to Gath—the home of the giant David killed in battle. After being recognized by the people of Gath, David was so overwhelmed by fear that he pretended to go insane. The king of Gath was repulsed by his “insanity” and so he threw David out of the city. By this time, David had escaped death multiple times. He was surrounded by people who hated him, and he had every reason to be anxious and fearful. But in the midst of his uncertain circumstances, he creates a Psalm to praise God for His greatness. I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. Psalm 34:1 NLT Worshiping God put David’s problems into perspective. Situations could shift, but God wouldn’t. He was still powerful, constant, and ever-present. He didn’t always remove David from hard situations, but He saw David through every difficult moment. I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 NIV God was the one who rescued David from his enemies. God was the one who repeatedly provided for His people in the midst of hard times. And if He did it before, He can do it again. Right now, reflect on the ways God has been faithful to you. In what ways has He protected, provided, strengthened, and encouraged you? If you’re struggling to think of examples, that’s okay. If praise doesn’t come easy to you right now, just read through Psalm 34 and let its words become your personal prayer. The same God that David talks about is still doing great things in our world. He still listens to the cries of His people. God is still present in our pain, He is still at work in our uncertainty, and He is still all-powerful—even when we feel powerless. When nothing in life makes sense—you can still run to Him and find refuge.

Kingdom Principles on Finances –Part 2 | June 22, 2025 “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.” Jeremiah 29:5 NIV Dear Beloved, Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we continue in this powerful series on Kingdom Principles on Finances, I want to encourage you to remember that God is not silent about your money, wealth and financial well-being. In this year of Settlement, it is the will of God that you settle even in your finances. In Jeremiah 29, God speaks to His children while in captivity, commanding them to build and settle. That word is still alive today. You may not have seen what you hoped for yet, but now is the time to build, to own, and to settle. “You can start as a tenant, but you will not end as one. Begin to dream the house you will sleep in.” 1. Settlement Begins on the Inside Settlement isn’t just about where you live. It’s about a decision you make in your heart. You first settle in your mindset before you settle in your physical environment. May you receive the grace to own and build. 2. Think Like a Builder, Not a Tenant God told His people to stop pitching tents and start building. In the same way, I challenge you: Think like a builder. Upgrade your mindset. Raise your capacity. “You can’t build something permanent on something you don’t own.” 3. Your Spirituality Must Reflect in Your Finances We don’t just attend church we build houses, raise families, and create generational wealth. Our God is a God of completion, and His desire is that you enjoy the fruit of your labor. “Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.” — Psalm 112:3 4. Break the Poverty Mentality The poverty mindset makes you settle for less, doubt your worth, and shrink your dreams. But God is not the God of small dreams. He’s the God of abundance! “Your background does not define your destiny.” Begin to see yourself owning, thriving, and empowering others. Upgrade your thinking and God will match it with divine increase. 5. Practice Faith, Responsibility, and Work The Word tells us to live a quiet life, working with our hands and not being a burden to others. Yes, prophesy over your life—but also plan, structure, and take action. “Stop being a burden—become a blessing.” Set goals, write them down, and pursue them. Fight for your destiny. Believe God for bigger. Declarations to Speak Over Your Life I am not a beggar—I am a builder. Wealth and riches will be found in my house. My children will rise and be mighty in the land. I will not die poor. I will live to glorify God. I am blessed in the city and in the field. Final Thoughts The difference between the rich and poor is often the ability to see opportunities. What you see determines what you seize. “If you can see your life changing, it will surely change.” Thank you for reading this week’s issue of Faith Today Newsletter and walking this Journey with us.
