IS your life worth emulating?
In my life journey I have been blessed to walk with people who are wiser than me, older than me, who have done greater things than me and many who have walked with Christ for many years or simply love Christ in an admirable manner. I have learnt so much from others and for this I am very grateful. Someone said that we are a total sum of our five closest friends! Social Capital is a great asset, and this is more true in our walk of faith. Paul was confident enough to ask his followers to emulate him in their daily lives. This is because he was fully committed to the cause of the Gospel. His life was also an open book. I get quite challenged by the words in Philippians 4:9 – “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
Be frank to yourself: Who is your mentor? Who is your follower – someone who looks up to you? And: IS your life worth emulating?
