Gleanings For the Soul 2.2.2025

In the journey of life we sometimes encounter heavy battles that we don’t know how we will ever get out of. Sometimes it’s deep sorrow over loss of loved ones, rejection, abandonment, hatred and malice. But even in such times God is still at work; He is still speaking though our hearts and ears may not be hearing because the pains muffs His voice.
The song I have shared here used to bring so much pain after I lost my dear husband, Tony in 1998. I somehow couldn’t listen to it because we used to have a cassette that had this and other Maranatha songs, which we both loved. God was speaking through it but my pain was too deep. Hearing the song delved me down into a pit of sorrowful memories. But today I listen to this song whenever I need to look at my difficult seasons through eyes of faith. I know without a doubt that He gives my heart courage to soldier on.

May you also match on through your wilderness, loss, pain and lack with a heart courageous after Him, Christ our Lord and helper. Shalom shalom
